I chose to create an original art piece and I went to the Bellevue Botanical garden to set up my space. As I sat for hours gazing at the plants, birds and blue sky I felt a connection to a specific plant in the garden. I saw the plant’s unique beauty, its leaves, its perfectly balanced position in the garden. I was in relationship with the plant, which then introduced me to the relationship to the plant next to it, the earth beneath the plant, the sun above, the wind, and guess what? I began to create with grace. Pleasure was capturing a moment in unity.
